Welcome back, Albedonite Hunters!
Today we talk about the changes made to the interface and usability. As already mentioned the first step was to insert the tutorial in the main story: creating an exhaustive tutorial is a very complex process and even if you dilute the concepts on different battles it is often hard for players to fully assimilate all of them.
Therefore we decided that the game should be as understandable and playable as possible even for someone who didn’t follow any tutorial. To make this possible we worked not only on the graphics and the readability of the interface, but also on a tooltip system that was both exhaustive and non-invasive.
After confronting with players and colleagues we decided to use hovering and temporization.
This way all the additional information do not distract the more experienced players and are only showed when someone explicitly needs more details.
